We are delighted to introduce you to Uri, our school therapy dog.
We are so lucky to work with My Canine Companion, who have provided our school with a beautiful dog and the training that is needed to bring him to therapy dog standard. Uri will complete two years of training before graduating in October 2025.
My Canine Companion is an Irish national charity (RCN 20079147), who provide accredited service dogs to people with disabilities, predominantly autism. In addition, MCC provides a range of therapy dog services and autism awareness programmes.
Uri takes part in the school day, engaging in classes, providing cuddles, supervising lunchtime, providing a listening ear while bringing a smile to everyone’s face.
