Each year, Transition Year students perform a school musical in Dunamaise Theatre, with the guidance and help of Ms. Karen Hackett and her team. Students enjoy the chance to try the acting skills while also working as a team to produce an entertaining show filled with song, dance and laughter.
Each TY form is given their own dance to perform for the musical. Each Thursday, musical practice takes place with our choreographer, followed by two hours practice with our our director and main cast.
Our Director appoints a TY student to the role of Assistant Director. A lot of hard work is done by our Assistant Director including looking after everything behind the scenes, the costumes, the props, making sure all the girls know their lines and casting extras for scenes.
