Congratulations to our Head Girl Team for the 2025-26 academic year. Robyn O'Connor (middle) will serve as our Head Girl, while Lily Gavin (right) and Gillian McEvoy (left) will serve as Deputy Head Girls for 2025-26.
One of the highest accolades in Scoil Chríost Rí is to be appointed to serve as one of the Head Girl team. Our current team consists of three outstanding 6th Year students, Robyn, Lily and Gillian, who were selected for the prestigious roles of Head Girl and Deputy Head Girl. Following a highly competitive interview process, they demonstrated the qualities and leadership skills required to represent the student body, showing that they are truly deserving of these positions.
Each Head Girl represents the student body at events, assemblies and many other annual gatherings. She epitomises the perfect role model for her fellow students and each year our Head Girl serves as a wonderful representative for the values we espouse at Scoil Chríost Rí.
Some thoughts and words from our Head Girl and Deputy Head Girl:
Robyn O'Connor - Head Girl
It is a profound honour to serve as Head-Girl of Scoil Chríost Rí alongside our Junior Deputy Gillian and Senior Deputy Lily. To us it is more than a title; it is a call to serve, to lead with humility and to represent the values that define our school. To be entrusted with this role it is not only a personal privilege to us but also a responsibility to reflect the spirit of kindness, respect and inclusivity that lies at the heart of our community. Our role is to have the strength to uphold standards while having the grace to support and speak for others as they find their own voice and paths. In fulfilling this duty, I look forward with great anticipation to working in close partnership alongside the Head Girl team, our Principal Mr.Smyth, and school management. Together, we share a commitment to upholding the highest standards of our school while fostering an environment in which every student is supported to flourish. I regard this collaboration not only as an opportunity to lead, but also as a privilege to learn from those whose wisdom and guidance inspire the entire school community. This role truly is a privilege but also a profound responsibility. I do not stand in it for myself but for every student of Scoíl Chríost Rí - past, present, and future. My greatest hope is to leave behind not simply a legacy of leadership but of service, encouragement, unity and kindness.
Lily Gavin – Deputy Head Girl Seniors
I am truly honored to serve as Senior Deputy Head Girl of our amazing school. This role is one that comes with responsibility, hard work, and dedication, and I am committed to giving my very best in all that it requires.
I am fortunate to be working alongside Robyn O’Connor, our inspiring Head Girl, and Gillian McEvoy, our dedicated Junior Deputy Head Girl. Together, we will step up to the challenges of leadership and strive to make our school an even safer, kinder place for everyone.
Our school is full of leaders—students who, in their own unique ways, show kindness, strength, and courage every single day. It is through these collective efforts that our school community continues to be a strong, supportive, and welcoming environment where everyone feels valued and respected.
I am excited for the year ahead and grateful for the opportunity to represent such a wonderful school.
Gillian McEvoy – Deputy Head Girl Juniors
I'm truly honoured to be chosen as Junior Deputy Head Girl of Scoil Chríost Rí. It fills me with pride to know I can help set an example for younger students and contribute positively to the school community that means so much to me.
In this role, my primary focus will be supporting our 1st, 2nd, and 3rd year students. These early years in secondary school are so important in shaping students' confidence, growth, and sense of belonging. I hope to be a reassuring presence for them— someone they feel they can turn to for guidance, encouragement and support throughout this year.
I'm genuinely excited for the year ahead, working alongside the incredible Head Girl Robyn and Senior Deputy Head Girl Lily.
Both of them bring so much passion and dedication to their roles, and I feel privileged to learn from them and work hand in hand with them this year.
Together and with the guidance of our principal Mr Smyth and school leadership, I'm looking forward to bringing fresh ideas to life and helping organise events that bring us all closer together.
It's a privilege to follow in the footsteps of past leaders, Their legacy has built the foundation we now stand on, and I am honoured to help carry that legacy forward with integrity, compassion, and enthusiasm.
