Congratulations to our Head Girl Team for the 2023-24 academic year. Sarah Gorman (left) will serve as Deputy Head Girl, while Hannah Guinan (right) is our Head Girl for 2023-24.
One of the highest accolades in Scoil Chríost Rí is to be appointed to serve as one of the Head Girl team. Here, we currently have a team of three 6th Year girls who were interviewed and successfully emerged from a long list of applicants as Deputy Head Girl and Head Girl.
Each Head Girl represents the student body at events, assemblies and many other annual gatherings. She epitomises the perfect role model for her fellow students and each year our Head Girl serves as a wonderful representative for the values we espouse at Scoil Chríost Rí.
Our current Head Girl, Hannah Guinan, reflects on her experiences in the role:
Being Head Girl is truly the most rewarding way to close your chapter here at Scoil Chríost Rí. The role embodies a variety of core values such as empowerment, responsibility and determination. While one girl wears the badge, it is through her that the voice of every student in our school is heard. Stepping into the role of Head Girl means being a role model for every student around you, and implementing change for the good of all of your peers.
I am very privileged to work alongside my wonderful Deputy Head Girl, Sarah Gorman. With Sarah by my side we comprise the perfect, well rounded team, bringing all aspects of school life to the table. We meet regularly with our principal and the management team to bring ideas, discuss issues and check in on events that are always happening here in such a busy school.
It is a great honour to step into my school shoes each day as a Head Girl, and I am extremely grateful to take over after all that have gone before me. It was these girls that paved the path I lead today.
