Congratulations to our Head Girl Team for the 2022-23 academic year. Billie Constantinou (left) will serve as Deputy Head Girl for Junior Students. Nanette Oiboh (right) will be the Deputy Head Girl for Senior Students, while Caoimhe Moore (centre) is our Head Girl for 2022-23.
One of the highest accolades in Scoil Chríost Rí is to be appointed to serve as one of the Head Girl team. Here, we currently have a team of three 6th Year girls who were interviewed and successfully emerged from a long list of applicants. Two girls act as Head Girls for Senior and Junior Cycle students respectively while one girl is the overall Head Girl.
Each Head Girl represents the student body at events, assemblies and many other annual gatherings. She epitomises the perfect role model for her fellow students and each year our Head Girl serves as a wonderful representative for the values we espouse at Scoil Chríost Rí.
Our current Head Girl, Caoimhe Moore, reflects on her experiences in the role:
Being head girl of Scoil Chríost Rí is one of the most rewarding ways to close your chapter in secondary school.
It’s a role filled with responsibilities, courage and empowerment. I see it as a privilege to come to school every day and act as the Head Girl for my fellow students.
Like anything, you are never alone and I work alongside my fabulous deputies Nanette and Billie. Nanette works primarily with the senior students while Bille excels in her role with the younger students here.
We meet regularly with our principal and the management team to bring ideas, discuss issues and check in on events that are always happening here in such a busy school. While one student wears the badge, it is voice of hundreds of students. I’m genuinely privileged to follow in the footsteps of past Head Girls who have made this role what it is today.
